Storage
As an agricultural co-operative, we have three centralised UK grain stores in Cambridge, Linton and Northants, of which our farmer members share ownership. Camgrain also has exclusive use of storage at RCMA Agri's site at Stratford-Upon-Avon. Our services provide storage solutions, access to wider markets and industry beating facilities. Our vendor assured practice guarantees quality grain is delivered to our customers, some of which are directly positioned in the production line for food fit for human consumption. Our Cambridge site is home to a specialist Clean Wheat Plant which cleans and processes our farmer's wheat to meet the specifications of major breakfast cereal manufacturers, Nestlé. Our storage facilities also allow farmers to maximise on farm storage for business diversification, with many of our members developing holiday lets and barn conversions.
Logistics
At Camgrain, we pride ourselves on providing industry leading service, which is why, in February 2021, we announced a partnership with FreshLinc Bulk Ltd to provide all of our logistics functions within the Camgrain group. This brings further expertise and technological advances to the Camgrain business and provides our members with the same fantastic service as always. FreshLinc’s ‘roots’ are in farming, being experts in moving perishable goods to tight timescales and servicing existing commercial partners such as Waitrose & Ocado. They share a similar ethos and culture to us at Camgrain and support the growth of our business and our members. Camgrain have worked with FreshLinc for a number of years and have trust in their capability to deliver outstanding service to our members.
Marketing
Camgrain is partnered with industry leading marketing experts who directly link farmers to the food production supply chain. Camgrain members are given the option to enter into a variety of different pool options, which are updated annually, or direct market their crops. Our processing ability means that grain is blended to meet specific standards of our customers' requirements. Our marketing committee is independently chaired and includes Camgrain directors.
