Much more than a grain store
The latest Advance Processing Centre built by Camgrain in Northamptonshire ensures that the company will remain a major player in the cereals sector.
Cereal growers across the Midlands and beyond are already benefiting from the latest hi-spec central storage facility built by farmer co-operative Camgrain at Kettering, Northamptonshire.
Its location at the heart of England means the Advanced Processing Centre (APC), which came on stream last harvest, is well- placed to serve the UK food industry and farmers throughout England. But Camgrain is not just about crop storage – it is about adding value, delivering a top quality product to the consumer.
The APC is a crucial link in the food supply chain for growers and consumers alike. By this harvest it will boast powerful driers and intake, allowing growers to capture quality locally produced grain year on year, even in difficult harvesting conditions.
The Northamptonshire site came about when Camgrain was approached by a group of farmers first brought together by Grainfarmers (now Openfield). They were looking to obtain planning permission for a central store and approached Camgrain because of its successful track record with central store operations.
